This policy explains what information we collect from you when you visit our website or use our services. It also explains the specific ways we use and disclose that information. We take your privacy extremely seriously, and we never sell lists or email addresses.

By making a booking or submitting your personal data to us, you agree to the transfer, storing or processing of it as set out below.  We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that the other members of your party are aware of the content of this Privacy Policy and are in agreement with you supplying their personal data to us to make a booking or other purchase on their behalf.

 

What information do we collect about you?

As part of your contract with us, you agree to provide us with personal data necessary to make this booking.  This may include but is not limited to names, surnames, dates of birth, address, telephone numbers, and email addresses.  We may also keep track of the emails that we send you and may retain emails relating to bookings and booking enquiries. We also collect some personal details when you ask us for a quote in order to provide you with the requested information. Our company is hosted on the WIX.com platform, your data may be store through WIX.com's data storage, databases and general WIX.com applications.   They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

 

How do we use this information?

  • To provide you with a quotation or to make your holiday booking and hence to carry out our obligations arising in connection with any contracts entered into between you and us;

  • To communicate with you regarding your booking or other purchase;

  • To send you status updates and service communications;

  • To ensure that content from our website is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer;

  • To notify you about changes to our service;

  • For improving the quality of our service and the products offered;

  • For resolving complaints and dealing with disputes.

 

With whom do we share your information?

Your data may also need to be shared with third party organisations involved in credit card authorisation or other monetary transactions, including credit reference agencies and anti-fraud screening service providers to process payments and (where necessary) to carry out fraud-screening. If processing of your data is subject to any other laws, then the basis of processing your data may be different to that set out above and may in those circumstances be based on your consent in all cases.

 

Marketing

Separately, you may give us consent to send you marketing emails by signing up to our Newsletter.  We will use the information you provide in the sign-up form to be in touch with you with special offers and updates by email only.  You can change your mind at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the footer of any email you receive from us, or by contacting us at bonjour@hauts-paturages.com.  We use MailChimp as our marketing automation platform.  By subscribing to our mailing service, you acknowledge that the information you provide will held by MailChimp for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/ and Terms https://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/

 

Cookies

We may use “cookies” to store and collect information regarding your usage of the website. Cookies are small files placed on your computer’s hard drive, or in your browser memory, when you visit our website. Your computer will only share the information in the cookie with the website that provided it, and no other website can request it. Cookies identify a computer browsing a website, not an individual.

Data security:

The transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure, and although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted via email, therefore any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will take all reasonable steps to keep your personal data secure and to try to prevent any unauthorised access to it.

 

Any personal data collected as part of the booking process will be retained in our financial database and in-house invoicing system for 5 years after your year of travel in order to comply with French auditing requirements.  All information you provide to us is stored on our protected internal computer systems or, if in hard copy, in a secured storage area.  

 

Your right to access any personal data we hold:

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), you are able to request access to the information we hold about you and you will receive a reply within one month.  We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date and you may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate.  You also have the right to request that any personal data held is erased and we will review this taking into account any contractual obligations relating to your booking.  You may also request transfer of your data to another data controller.  Any personal data enquiries can be sent to the postal address below or emailed to bonjour@hauts-paturages.com
